Your Network Marketing Website – Getting Your Home Business Website Indexed in Google Fast

February 11, 2010

web-design1 So you’ve stumbled through building your new network marketing website, where you’re planning on getting tons and tons of leads. You finally figured out how to buy a domain name, get hosting, point your domain to your hosting nameserver’s, etc.

Then you had to figure out how to use enough html to get by, to at least create a couple of line breaks and bold and italicize words, etc. Then you had to add your optin-box.

Next came FTP, and all that goes with getting it live and online, etc.

Let me tell you, you should be patting yourself on the back right now. Most people never get that far actually. You’ve now got yourself a network marketing website for your very own home business. That website can only get better from this day forward.

So You’ve Built Your Network Marketing Website…Now What?

Now it’s time to drive some traffic to the site and start signing people up right? What?

Well, your home business website is only as good as its last visitor – otherwise it may as well not even exist at all. So how do you get these visitors? This is where people get stumped.

Your best bet is to get your site in Google’s search engine, and get it ranked on the first page for the keywords that you’re after.

Now you’re really starting to sweat right? Don’t blame yourself, because most people can’t get on the first page. In fact most people can’t even win the first battle which is getting indexed into Google’s search engine at all. So that’s your first quest and believe me, it’s not as hard as some will make it out to be as long as you do things right.

If you do things wrong, well you won’t see your site in Google for quite a while, if ever at all.

How to Get Your Home Business Website Indexed in Google Fast

Alright, first let’s talk about the most important part of getting your MLM website indexed in Google.

The key is by getting some links pointing to your website. But not just any old links, you need to get links from sites that Google holds in high regard.

I’ll give you those sites in a minute, but first let me tell you about staying out of Google’s quicksand.

Google has a little thing affectionately known as the Google Sandbox. The Google Sandbox is where Google sticks websites that they don’t yet trust, and if your website is new, then Google automatically doesn’t trust it.

And if your website is in a category that Google sees as being a spammy category (pssst…network marketing is one of those categories) then you’re even more in Google’s proverbial “dog house”. Wow, talk about profiling.

Now one of the red flags that will cause you to get sandboxed quickly is by getting a ton of links to your brand new network marketing website way too quickly. You see Google likes sites that seem to be out there naturally getting links.

A link is actually supposed to be from someone who simply likes your site, and decided to vote for your site by linking to it for their own visitors. Of course everyone games that system and goes out and buys links, or sets up all these crazy systems to get thousands of backlinks, trying to fool Google. Well, the first rule of Google is that you can’t fool Google. That’s almost like trying to fool God. You just can’t convince Him that you weren’t sinning if you were, so why even try?

So if you want to get indexed into Google you have to get a nice flow of backlinks pointing to your site from sites that Google likes.

Here are sites to get links in order to get indexed. It actually doesn’t take much to get indexed by the way, because these links will go a long way.

Ezinearticles.com … Write a couple of articles, and in the resource box include the link to your home business website. Now your best bet is to use anchor text for the terms that you want to be ranked for. To figure out how to do that, just Google “anchor text html” and you’ll have plenty of help with that. Ezinearticles.com has a high page rank (Google’s ranking system) and therefore Google absolutely loves them.

Bookmarking Sites: Bookmarking a site is just like “favoriting” a site in your browser, only when you do it at a bookmarking site, you’re doing it in the public, and basically sharing with the world that you enjoy that site. You’re allowed to enjoy your own site now and then, just don’t go crazy spamming the heck out of these sites, there’s enough of that going around. The few best ones to focus on are Digg, Delicious, Jumptags, and Reddit. There are thousands more, but we’re just working on getting indexed for now.

Hubpages.com: Create a Hub at hubpages.com and add a link out to your site from that site. Google likes Hubpages, and crawls there sites quite often, and will likely find your link quick. (by the way that’s the case with all of the sites mentioned above too).

Okay this isn’t an exhaustive list, but it should get your network marketing site indexed fairly quickly.

Craigslist: Craigslist has a high page rank, and gets crawled all day long. Adding your link to Craigslist however takes some finesse or Craigslist themselves will kick you out, and flag your listing.

I’ve found the best place to make a posting, and add a link is within the “Groups” section for any major city.
