One of the questions that I often get asked from people who are involved with us in

MLM training is whether or not they should quit their jobs

so that they can focus on their business only.

While that’s a noble thing to think about, and I like the commitment of it…it’s actually goes deeper than that for a response.

First of all, it’s a very personal decision that I can’t really help someone out with right up front. I mean, if someone has a nest egg built up, and money isn’t a hindrance (which is rare in this day) then by all means who am I to tell them not to take that chance? It’s probably dedication that got them that nest egg in the first place, so I don’t feel as uncomfortable with telling them not to take that risk.

However… if you’re not in that position then I think that you should NOT quit your current job, with your current income, just to do MLM full time. The fact is that you need to have an income to live on that MLM may not bring in right away.

You also need to focus on your MLM training and master the principals of MLM so that they’re solid and consistent, and therefore the skills that you have work to bring you money each and every month.

The transition begins to come when you start to see reach your income from your job with your MLM.

At that point you’re making double the money that you’re currently making. You can choose at that point to either quit your job and go fulltime, or to increase your income even more by continuing doing what you’re doing and mastering other techniques with your MLM training. If you chose the latter then the ideal thing to do would be to begin to build a nest egg of your own so that you have money to fall back and so that you’re in a secure place.

Here’s why it’s not a good idea to go for broke when you’re starting a home business,

no matter how good your MLM training is.

First of all when you do that, then you’re running your business from a desperate place and mindset. It’s a do or die situation, and while it may have worked for Cortez when he was conquering Mexico (legend is that Cortez burnt his ships so there was no chance of his soldiers retreating) it’s not a smart idea. Not to mention the fact that when you’re going to prospects in desperation and confidence, then you’re never going to do as well. Your prospects can read that desperation, and who in the world wants to work with a desperate person. You can’t lead like that!

But there are plenty of other reasons behind this thinking. Another one of them is Advertising Funds! When you run a business you must be able to market that business, and one of the fastest ways to build a business is through paid advertising.

You probably hear all over the place that you can market for free, yada yada yada. But that’s the slow way to get your business going, and certainly not the best way. The best way is to have an advertising budget to work with and get your business seeing profits faster, and the one way to make sure you have that advertising budget is to have an income coming in. You’ll thank yourself for that income.

Yet another reason is that you may want to be able to buy products that will give you further MLM training. This is very hard to do when you’re depending solely on your MLM income that’s also supposed to put food on the table and clothes on yours and your family’s backs.

While I don’t recommend spending on every new technique there is, there certainly comes a time when you want to start mastering new techniques, and you don’t want to be stuck with only what’s available for free because that’s not always the best information. Sometimes getting the premium info is worth the price you pay.

And last but not least, and probably the most important part of this MLM training, is for the simple fact that it’s not as easy as you may think to be your own boss.

It may take a while to get the hang of consistently working on your business. Many people who have always worked at a job don’t know how to actually wake up in the morning and get to work because that’s what they’re supposed to do, and not because they’re told to by a boss. That transition is difficult for some simply because it’s foreign to them.

Your best bet therefore is to keep your job, work on your side business as hard as you can as if it’s a full time second job, and build it up to your normal income.

I hope that this MLM training is something that benefits you and answers that nagging question for you and your business.
