Unfortunately I see something much too often which saddens me. What is it that I see? I see people getting overwhelmed with their network marketing business.
It sounds like something that might not be a huge deal, but what can happen, and happens quite a lot actually is that people will get so overwhelmed that they actually become paralyzed and don’t do anything. They stop taking action because they literally feel like they’re being torn in 8 different directions in their mind and they don’t know which way to go first.
This is where you have to stop and learn how to eat an elephant. And how do you eat an Elephant and a Rhinoceros? Elephino!
Ok but I do know how to eat an elephant. That’s right…one bite at a time!
How to Break Your Network Marketing Business Into Bite Sized Chunks…
When you first begin a network marketing business you become overwhelmed because it seems like there’s so much to learn. Just some of the things that you have to learn about:
• Your products
• The compensation plan,
• The marketing material,
• Who are your prospects,
• Who’s in your warm market,
• How do you get past the fear,
• How do you get past the objection questions
• How to cold call
• How to build a website
• How to blog
• How to get website traffic
• How to be a sponsor
• etc. etc.
The list goes on and on. But guess what. You don’t have to learn all of that at once.
But the key is to learn in small little bite sized chunks, and only learn what you need at the present moment.
Sure it seems like you need to know how to create your website and start building your lead list… or where to buy leads so you have someone to talk to, but have you even figured out your warm list yet? Have you talked to your sponsor about what they did their first week, their first month, etc. How they made their first dollar, and what they recommend that you do?
The thing is that this is a business of leverage. Your sponsor is going to leverage your efforts down the road. They’re going to make a commission off what you do, but that doesn’t mean that you’ll get nothing from them. You get to leverage off of their knowledge, and if they have none then you get to leverage off of their upline’s knowledge until you get some really good stuff.
You’ll also be able to use your upline for things like 3 way calls, and helping you close a lead that’s on the fence about joining. So you don’t have to worry about what to say yet, you can leverage that from your sponsor and once you see/hear things done a couple of times then you’ll know how to do it.
And then you keep doing that one thing over and over again until you get really good at it, and it becomes second nature to you. Then you start adding things little by little to your plate.
Eventually you’ll get to a point where you’ve gotten the whole elephant eaten and running your network marketing home business is as easy as walking or riding a bike. It’s automatic and it’s successful.
But the first part of that is simply learning the things that you’ll be able to take action on today and get the snowball rolling down the hill.
Stop trying to learn all there is about the network marketing business and learn one thing and keep doing it over and over consistently, and you’ll be one of the successful network marketers in the world before you know it. Maybe even before you know everything about network marketing in fact!
