Why Being Consistent is Mandatory for Your Network Marketing Business…

Ok so there are a ton of people out there that claim to teach you how to get a flood of traffic to your webpage. Cool! But a) Are you ready for that flood (meaning that you have a site that converts traffic to actual leads…and b) wouldn’t you rather have a steady flow of traffic that comes in each and everyday?

Here’s the thing. When you’re generating leads for your network marketing business, you need those leads to be fresh. You also need those leads to come in each and every single day.

So that doesn’t mean getting a flood of untargeted visitors to your site from who knows where. It’ means getting targeted traffic to your lead squeeze pages on a daily basis that you can convert to leads – which you can then contact each and everyday.

Now I’m not saying that if you’re getting tons of leads you should slow that down. You can always give them to your downline if you have a surplus. But what I’m saying is that if you’re not already getting consistent leads and traffic – start to work on that! Stop falling for the courses selling you the B.S. that you can get a million hits per day and be living on easy street!

Your traffic can come from a variety of sources. It’s best to master one traffic source, and then once that’s in place to move on to the next, and then the next. Each time making sure that you’re building a secure and consistent traffic source! Just to mention a few of these sources, there’s article marketing, pay-per-click, SEO, banner advertising, PPV, Joint Ventures, and the list goes on and on.

As you begin to get traffic to your pages (hopefully you’re creating squeeze pages to send traffic to) then you need to start working on your conversion rates. This means you can get more leads out of less traffic. That means while others are busting their butts to get more and more traffic, that you can get the same results with half or even less of that traffic. That gives you a major advantage over your competition.

But the thing is only consistent traffic can let you do this. You CANNOT test conversions on a flood of 1000 visitors in one day, but you CAN test conversions on 100 visitors a day for 10 days. I hope you’re beginning to get the picture and see the importance of consistency in your business.

Once you’ve got your numbers working for you and converting in a predictable manner, then you can work on new traffic sources where you know exactly how much you can spend on each visitor for other paid traffic.

Do this and you will see not only the number of network marketing leads increase but also the quality of those leads.

Looking to make a life career change but you’re just not really sure how to get the ball rolling? You’re not alone. In fact a lot of people will never actually change their lives at all because they don’t know which way to turn.

In order for you to truly know, then you’ve got to do a bit of self discovery. You’ve got to take some stock in yourself and see which direction would be best suited for you and you alone. It’s usually the people who find something that they truly enjoy who are the ones that excel the most.

Are you someone who enjoys helping others? That’s a great trait to have, especially if you want to do something entrepreneurial. My wife Ann and I have found that caring for others and helping others is not only one of the fastest paths to success, but also one of the most rewarding paths as well.

The bottom line is that you have to learn to realize your strengths and let them guide you to your life career change. Some people are persuasive speakers. Some people thrive in a creative environment. For instance, using the talent of the written word can get you very far in this world, especially if you can write persuasively.

Others are very into health and wellness, and they’ll enjoy anything having to do with that.

These days many people are internet savvy and utilize those skills very well to make money from home, or anywhere in the world that they want actually.

Personally, my wife Ann and I have found in our experience our own lives, and working with countless others in our MLM organization, that if you truly want to enjoy life and the success that life can provide, then you should really consider… or at least look deeply into… starting your own work from home business and make that your life career change.

They realize that they’re not in the company with the best network marketing compensation plan and that really ticks them off because they realize that they’re not getting paid what they’re worth.

The problem is that if you’re really good at network marketing, and you lead people to your company like mice to cheese, then you absolutely should be paid handsomely for that.

Now of course you can’t much blame the company, chances are that they laid out the compensation plan before you joined. But what often happens is that someone may be just starting out and in their zealousness will join a company without figuring out if it’s the best compensation plan or not.

Usually a new person has no idea if they’re even going to do well or not with a network marketing business… so frankly many don’t even really think that they’re going to do well enough to get paid the big bucks at all.

Then what happens is that they’ll thrive at it, become an MLM big heavy hitter.

It’s usually at this point that they start really looking around and realizing that they’re crazy to stay with a company that’s not going to raise their commission and give them what they’re worth. Is this your situation? Are you a heavy hitter like Ann and I?

I’m not going to go into any detail, but we know what it’s like to be in that situation. And luckily when we partnered with Agel we finally started getting paid what we were worth.

5 Ways to Cure Writers Block

Writers block can hurt your MLM business if you let it. Sitting there fiddling around your desk because you can’t think of anything to write is a time waster. For argument sake, so is sitting staring at a blank computer screen and counting how many times the cursor blinks per minute. Since time is money we need to learn how to cure writers block for the sake of our MLM business.

So Here are 5 Ways to Cure Writers Block…

1) Problems – When we write articles to promote our MLM business, we’re actually looking to help solve people’s problems right. Well there are numerous ways to find problems. What problems are you having right now? What are problems that some of your downline (or upline) have had recently? What problems are people having in forums?

2) Inspiration – Your MLM prospects, customers, and downline need to be inspired almost constantly…as do you! So if you come across something inspiring then you can share that in your writing. Sometimes quotes can inspire, a movie, a poem, something that you’ve read, or even something in the news. Whatever inspires you will likely inspire someone else.

3) Stories – People have been gathering for stories since there have been people. The people that surround you in your MLM business are no exception. Stories can also be a great source for inspiration, as well as for motivation. Stories are one of the greatest ways that you can influence other people. That’s because they’re hypnotic and almost put people into a trance like state, and when they’re hearing your stories they’re putting themselves in the story in their mind. This then becomes extremely powerful.

4) Hot Topics/News – I touched on this in number 2, but one of the greatest places to find something to talk about, even for your MLM business is to use the current news. If you have a newspaper laying around, even if it’s from last weekend and it’s Friday when you’re reading this, if you can find a way to tie a news story into your articles then you’ve hit a homerun. Need an example…well if you sell health products could you tie a sports story to that, or how about Dancing with the Stars? That’s hot about twice a year. Well dancing leads to health (products), and it’s also utilizing people who have never danced professionally before (motivation) and putting them against each other (friendly competition). You see how many angles you can get out of one silly show, and you can even turn that into a series of articles.

5) Create Titles and Headlines – Just start listing a bunch of article titles until you hit on something that you find interesting. You can use all of the sources above and just create a huge list of possible article titles. This will give you ample material for when you go to sit down and write for your MLM business. It will save you time, as well as give you leverage of ideas.

So there you go. You really have no reason to sit around and not write tons of articles anymore. There are ideas all around you. And one last quick tip: Don’t pigeon hole yourself to topics! Sure you’re writing about your MLM business but there are so many facets to an MLM business that you can write on so many topics. Variety in itself is a great cure for writers block.

Or worse, you may be able to see that from your open and click thru rates from your own emails that you’re sending out. (BTW if your auto-responder company doesn’t let you see that information then you really need to find one that does. Aweber is probably the best and what I use.)

In this post I’m going to focus on getting your emails opened.

Why am I starting here? It’s simple. Because no matter how amazing your email message is, it’s not going to mean anything unless your email gets opened right? Nobody will ever see how greatly crafted it is unless they first open the message.

And nobody is going to open a message unless there’s what? That’s right…a great and enticing SUBJECT LINE!

Subject lines are the key to getting your email messages opened.

What Makes a Good Subject Line?

Before I answer that question, I want to ask you…what makes you open the emails that are in your inbox.

I want to digress a little here…the number one thing that gets someone to open an email message is whether or not they know and like the person sending them the email. If they don’t know you, don’t remember you, or can’t stand you…then they’re probably not going to open your emails. Period.

So the thing that you want to do is obvious…let them get to know you, have them anticipate the emails arrival, and basically become a perceived trusted friend.

I’ll get into more about how to do that in Part 2…but for now back to…

Subject Lines!

A good subject line needs to evoke curiosity first and foremost. You have to figure your inbox to be like the game show “The Price Is Right”. Each email subject line is like a door that they can’t see behind. So what’s going to make someone want to open your door instead of all of the others in front of them.

That’s right… only the subject line. So your subject line must evoke curiosity so much that they can’t help themselves but find out “what’s behind door number 2 Bob?”

Good curiosity subject lines can be:

A question: “Are you making this mistake?”
A bold statement: “Here’s how I can swear on the Bible that you’ll succeed”
One word: “Revenge”
A made-ya-look: “Don’t laugh at my shirt in this training video”

You see what those headlines do? They make you need to know what the heck the sender is talking about.

The one thing that you should never do in a subject line is mislead. Misleading is when you talk about one thing in the subject line just to make someone open, when the message is not even about that at all.

People who open misleading headlines have a long memory, and won’t soon forget that you tricked them once before when you send your next email out.

The Importance of Benefits…

The reason any of us open an email is because we want to know what’s in it for us. Even if it’s a personal email, we will open them according to the benefit that there might be for us.

Let’s face it would you open an email from your best friend that says “workout” in the subject, or from someone of that you’ve had your eye on for a while that says “date?”…

See where the “what’s in it for me” part comes?

So you always want to lay the benefit out boldly in a headline…

“How to lose your thanksgiving weight fast” is a benefit. Who doesn’t want to lose weight.

“Get your bills paid easy this month”. The benefit is the ease of mind that you have when your bills are paid.

Here’s a headline that uses both curiosity and a benefit…
“OMG 45,000 visitors for just .07 cents?”

Who doesn’t want 45,000 visitors to their website, and who doesn’t want to get them so cheap?

Getting your messages opened is the hardest part of the battle. You should work ten times as hard on getting this accomplished as you do on any other part of the process. Once it’s opened then the person is already interested in what you have to say if you’re relevant.

Your best chance at getting good at this is a) Practice coming up with new subject lines…
b) Study the subject lines in your inbox. Get on a lot of marketers lists and see which ones catch your eye c) Study headlines…write them down, keep a swipe file etc.

The better you get at this the more success you’ll have in network marketing by the simple numbers alone.

Unfortunately that’s not always the case, and as we get older as a nation and globe actually, those pains are starting to hit more and more of us – as well as the ones that we love. Diseases such as arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis are serious and painful.

A lot of people don’t understand why sponsoring and “recruiting” has to be a part of the network marketing business and what’s so important about doing it.

It’s pretty much all about just what it’s called, building a network. But it’s not just any network… a network of people marketing a business where you get a percentage from their efforts.

Now you’re probably wondering – if my 2 decades experience steers me correctly – “Now why would they want to give you a percentage of the sales when they could just keep all of the money themselves” right?

Well, that’s a valid question, and we don’t like to run away from the tougher questions like most network marketers do. WE like to tackle them head on and clear up any misconceptions.

The main ingredient to success in Network Marketing is simple…it’s LEVERAGE!

In a nutshell, no matter how darn smart you are, now matter how great you are at sales, or how much energy you have, you’re still constrained by the same amount of hours per day. I like to hear when people call it the “great equalizer” because it truly is.

But when you sponsor people into your downline, then you’re actually utilizing not only your 24 hours, but you’re also utilizing theirs. That’s the main reason for “sponsoring” in network marketing. It’s massive leverage.

Now you may be asking yourself then if these products are so great, then why doesn’t the company just put them out in the market, and sell them that way. Of course I’ve heard this a lot as a network marketing professional for the past 20 years as well, and it always makes me sort of smile.

First of all, let’s look at advertising and how it works.

When a company advertises their products via commercials, radio ads, newspaper ads, etc. it costs them from hundreds of thousands of dollars to very easily millions of dollars…UPFRONT!

It’s a genius model for any company.

If you’ve ever tried muscling your way into a crowded marketplace, even when you DO have the best product in the world, with general untrackable advertising alone, then you know how difficult that can truly be.

Another Important Reason that Sponsoring in MLM is Crucial to Your Financial Health…

Whether you have a traditional 9 to 5 job, or you own your own brick and mortar business, then you know that YOU have to be there every day no matter what, or else you’re going to lose money.

There’s no vacations, there’s no being able to actually get sick and recover, you have to be there.

But when you have a downline of thousands of people, when you have a network of people with the goal of selling products for you and your team, then suddenly getting sick, or taking a vacation isn’t such a big deal. In fact, it’s recommended once you’ve built your business. (Well not the getting sick part of course).

The key is teaching your downline to be successful in all the correct way, which means being a good sponsor, and creating duplication in your business. Having a successful downline helps both you and them live happier and healthier lives.
