Integrity is defined as, ”Adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.”

This is a great definition and one that you should truly consider when it comes to your network marketing business.

Far too many people get into this business because they think that it’s a way to earn a fast buck. They’re all too ready to do whatever it takes, without integrity of what they’re doing, just to sign people up to their business.

They do this sometimes even when they know that it’s not the right business for their prospects. They do it even when they know that their prospect can’t afford the business, and will have to go without. They do it even knowing that they’re not going to do their duty and stick around long enough to make this person begin to see success before they leave them stranded. They simply strand them from the beginning.

Not having integrity tarnishes not only the network marketing industry. Take this network marketing advice to heart when I tell you that not having integrity with your business will tarnish the pride that you have in yourself.

Yes, you may make that quick buck. You may get a fast start bonus from signing up that person that you knew the business wasn’t right for.

But what that does to your pride, deep down to your core cannot be discounted one bit. Because it’s real, and it’s something that you can’t run away from! It’s something that can and will haunt you.

You must have integrity in all of your business practices. It may hurt to tell that prospect that you won’t sign them up because you don’t think they’re ready, or that they don’t have the time or commitment. It may hurt your pocket for a few days or weeks to tell that prospect that you won’t have the time to dedicate to them for training, so therefore you can’t in good conscience sign them up right now.
Or you may tell them, “I won’t have time to train you, but I can hook you up with one of my downline that will train you just as good as me”, which can be a win/win/win and everyone is happy, and your pride and integrity are still intact.

Here’s one last piece of network marketing advice when it comes to having integrity and keeping your pride.

Your integrity gets carried with you, just as your sense of pride does, and just as your reputation. Having the reputation of having integrity is the greatest thing that you can ask for. It’s something to strive for.

Take this network marketing advice with you into all areas of your life, because it will help you live a happier more profitable life.

Too often, especially with newer network marketers, you’ll be way too accepting of everyone, simply because they’re a lead. But what should happen is that you should be almost so choosy that people have to almost beg to sign up with you.

Of course it’s understandable. After all when you’re going through tons and tons of prospects to get to that one in fifty or even 1 in 100 yes…it’s really hard to get to heavy on the pre-qualifying. However, doing so will almost certainly bring you more success in the long run. The long run however is always more difficult to see.

Ways Qualifying More Stringently Will Help Your Network Marketing Success…

First… let’s not forget one very important thing when it comes to business. Time is money. What does that have to do with qualifying?

Simple…when you don’t qualify your prospects, and you spend time training someone who isn’t committed, qualified, or even serious, then you’re wasting time. That costs you money. Had you done some work in the beginning however in the first place then you likely would have realized that this person wasn’t right for network marketing. You could have saved a lot of trouble on their end as well as yours.

So it’s important that even though you may make some quick cash in the beginning, that you don’t let that cloud your judgment for your longterm. Because when you bring someone into your organization, take the time to train them, take the time to motivate them, etc. that’s time you could be spending with someone who will really appreciate and act on what you’ve taught them.

Sure you can’t be sure with everyone, but you can definitely get a pretty good idea.

Second… you’ve finally got the opportunity to choose who you work with, why not use that to your advantage? How many times have you gone to work, and just looked at some of the people that you’re forced to work with in disgust. You wondered how the heck they were able to even get in the car and drive to work…much less the fact that you’ve got to deal with them for eight hours of your day.

Now that you’ve got the choice, why would you just take any old buddy and bring them into your organization.

Part of it is mentality. You’ve got to remember that you’re giving people an opportunity of a lifetime. You’re not only introducing them to a great opportunity to create financial freedom, but if you’re doing it correctly and the way Ann and I have been doing for nearly 25 years, you’re also showing them exactly how to do it.

That’s not something that YOU can take lightly. You’re giving them the keys to network marketing success, and if you take it lightly, so will they. But if you’re extremely serious about that, and you show them that you are, they’ll see how serious it is…or they’ll pass which is a good thing because again you don’t waste your precious and very expensive time.

Alright so you know what to do when it comes to creating more network marketing success…you must start pre qualifying your prospects and separating the real gems from the stones.

The fact is that it’s a lot of work to become successful in this business, more so than most people want to admit, or even think about.

So why do people do it? What compels people to go through all the hard work, anxiety, stepping out of comfort zones, and all the other stuff that comes with the territory of starting a network marketing business.

Alright, here’s the first fact that may surprise you to hear coming out of my mouth.

Most people aren’t compelled to join network marketing right off the bat. That’s right, not a whole lot of people are looking to find a network marketing opportunity (hint, hint, in case you’re focusing on those keywords). The fact is that most people are simply looking for a way out of the grind that’s called the 9 to 5 work day.

They want to get away from their boss, and their job that offers them nothing but a guaranteed work week the following week.

They want a life where the bills are paid easily, and where they don’t have to worry from month to month whether or not they’ll be able to get through. They want to know that money is going into a savings account for their future at the same time as the bills are getting paid.

They also would love a life where they don’t have to be told where they need to be everyday. They want the freedom to do what they want, work from where they want (home) and not have to ask for days off. They want to be able to be sick when they’re sick and not drag their butt into work anyway, and work like a dog.

So there’s just a few of the main reasons what people are looking for.

And then, when they hear about network marketing, and decide to join, it’s because they see that this may very well be the path to what they’re after.

What Makes Network Marketers Continue to Want Network Marketing Success…Even When Things Get Tough?

Once someone joins network marketing, and starts their journey toward network marketing success (as long as it’s with a good sponsor and team) they suddenly see the real world of network marketing.

They see what it’s like to be working with people who are constantly rooting for you, and cheering you on toward your goals.

They see that network marketing is almost more about expanding yourself, and enjoying seeing and helping OTHERS succeed, than it is about the money. The money is just an added benefit.

They also see that once the money starts coming in, it grows exponentially because of a little blessing called leverage, and its counterpart… passive residual income. This passive residual income keeps growing, and if consistently working, developing self, and training your downline…it snowballs quite remarkably.

If you’ve ever wondered why network marketers continuously strive for…and love striving for network marketing success…now you know!

They’re not seeing the success that they thought they might, or were promised that they would see, or worse yet…were at one time seeing.

Things change very quickly now, and what worked yesterday may not work as good today. Basically it’s hard to stay consistent with just one method, so now you’ve got to be able to adapt.

Network marketing is an industry that’s gone through a lot of changing over the last decade.

For a business that’s stayed virtually the same for thirty to fifty years before that, the internet came and pretty much shook it to it’s core. It turned what people knew for their entire careers upside down, and suddenly they had no clue what they could do to make thing start to happen again, and therefore of course get the residual income flowing in again.

Where having a website of your own was plenty, you eventually needed a blog to go along with it.

And the list of changes goes on and on. Things seem to change monthly or even weekly. But some are unfettered. They carry on and push through these changes quickly and like clockwork, often being well prepared before the change ever really takes place.

Others are still stuck in the dinorsaur ages of network marketing, hoping that the three foot rule will never go away… not realizing that with social media the 3000 foot rule applies nearly as well, if not better.

Being flexible and adaptable has been an assett on this earth since time began. Animals have evolved, going from swimmers, to land creatures, to the air, and some utilizing all. Others grew thumbs and started walking upright and now rule the kingdom…but who knows what’s to come down the line.

Eventually we all need to adapt to something new, because the world…and especially the online world is a fast moving place to keep abreast of.

But now that we’re past that, I want to congratulate you on taking steps to remedy this situation and not just quitting like so many other will do. The answer may not be as difficult as you think, and your situation isn’t necessarily as dire as you may feel it is.

Okay so luckily this business is designed so that YOU can easily get help with your business from people who actually know what they’re doing.

That’s because within network marketing, there’s an upline above your sponsor. These are the people that brought in your sponsor and those that brought them in etc. Now depending on what company you’re a distributor with those above you will get paid levels deep, meaning helping you will help them earn money as well.

So now we have to do some thinking…

We have to figure that if your sponsor stinks on ice, there’s a good chance that there sponsor stinks on ice as well. Not necessarily is that true, but there is that chance. So do some homework and check them out good and see if they’re worthy of attention.

If not then go upline from them.

Now here’s the other thing…

You may be better off starting from scratch and leaving the whole line, and company altogether. Then you find a team that’s got a proven system in place that’s created success stories like crazy.

This is one of those network marketing tips that you wish that you’d heard a long time ago, but since you believe in the industry, then you’ll do what you have to do to make the most of this for your own success.

Yes, a lot of us like to get caught up in the fact that we’re working hard toward our goal, and so we let ourselves think that we’re sacrificing some things for now, in order to achieve the success that we want to achieve.

I think that we sometimes forget that in our lives, and especially in our bodies, everything is connected in one way or another. Our bodies work on systems with blood flow, hormones flowing, oxygen, etc. It all happens in there whether we think about it or not, but it’s not always happening as well as it could.

We’ve always been taught that we need to exercise so that we become stronger and look better. That’s why most people will start to get in shape as a New Year’s resolution, but what we don’t realize is that when we exercise the huge benefit is actually to our brains, and the getting in shape and looking good part is simply a happy bi-product to that.

According to Mr. Ratey’s work, exercise is quickly becoming known as a huge help for sufferers of ADHD, stress, depression, anxiety, memory, enhanced thinking, and tons of the other things that keep us from being all that we can truly be.

“The relationship between food, physical activity and learning is hardwired into the brain,”says the Sparking Life organization website.

Exercise and its increased blood flow to our brains and nervous systems help our neurons fire on all cylinders much more efficiently.

Basically, if you’re having trouble reaching network marketing success, then it could have a lot more to do with your lack of exercise than you could have ever imagined…and it’s worth the shot to at least try if you ask me!

Many people set goals of course when it starts to get near January 1st. Some call them resolutions, but if you’ve been in this business for any amount of time you know that setting goals yearly is just something that you need to do.

But the problem is that a lot of people tend to set goals, but they forget two very vital steps for reaching those goals.

Network Marketing Advice That Will Help You Reach Many More of Your Goals

So first of all you need to realize that simply setting a goal is not enough.

You must of course set very specific goals of course.

For instance, not just “I want to make more money this year”, but “I want to make $3000, $10,000, $25,000, or even $100,000 per month.” Or per year, it’s up to you how big your goals are, and only you know by figuring out where you’re sitting right now as far as income goes. So of all the network marketing advice to get right in the beginning is the fact that your goals must be laser specific.

But again, this still leaves us with just goals…and just goals isn’t NEARLY enough!

You also need to write down…

How You Plan to Achieve Those Goals

Without having a plan to achieve your goals, they’re simply not going to get any further than just dreams on a paper. You’ve got to write down specifically what you’re going to do to get those goals off the ground. To get them off the paper, and breathing life into them…within your own life.

Most people will write down their goals and that’s the end of it.

While it is better than nothing to have them at least written down, unfortunately it’s not nearly enough. You’ve got to create a plan to achieve those goals.

So if you want to start earning $3000 per month, what are you going to have to do to achieve that money each month? How many people will you have to talk to about your business. Out of those people how many will have to join up with you? What will they have to achieve in order to help you achieve your goal even faster? How will you train them to do that?

Of what you’re doing now (if anything)… what’s working and what’s not working?

This is one part of the network marketing advice that I’m giving each and every year, trying to get people to understand what they need to be doing to achieve their goals.

Most people get through the first part of writing down goals, some people get through the second part of creating a plan to achieve the goals that they’ve written down, but very few people get through the part of creating a schedule…and even less actually follow that schedule.

The greatest part for you about this network marketing advice is that if you simply figure out a schedule that will allow you to take the necessary steps for getting closer to your goals, and follow that schedule, you’ll be well ahead of 99% of your competition out there who are just sort of flubbing around, willy-nilly toward their goals.

You’ll have an action plan and you’ll be following it daily in order to reach that. That’s powerful stuff, and that’s network marketing advice that you should definitely follow in 2012.

But you may have never thought you could learn about success in network marketing from a film about the world of mixed martial arts.

However in life, I’ve found that you can learn lessons from all different areas. In fact it’s usually those people that stick within just their one topic who stagnate quite quickly.

That’s because there’s only so much you can learn from studying your own topic. Sure you need the basics, and you need to learn the foundational moves and strategies, but you get the edge by continuously studying and learning from different areas.

Getting Lessons for Network Marketing Success from Different Sources is Essential to Have the Edge

I recently watched a video on YouTube with an interview of Joshua Waitzkin, of whom the film ‘Searching for Bobby Fischer’ was based on.

The movie is about a young eight year old who discovers chess in Washington Square Park. He goes on to not only become very passionate about the game, but come to find out he’s a prodigy and becomes a multiple champion in the game.

In this video, Waitzkin talks about the fact that he eventually stopped pursuing chess, and went on to learn and master other things such as Tai Chi and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

He says that he was able to do very well and learn these arts very quickly, because of things that he learned about competing in chess – mentally – which seemed to give him the edge in these arts.

The point being that he brought knowledge over from one area into another, that benefited him greatly. I try to do that with my everlasting pursuit of further network marketing success, not only for myself, but for my team.

What a Brilliant MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) Film Recently Reminded Me Of When It Comes to Network Marketing Success

I recently rented the movie “Warrior” from one of those movie vending machines that are all over the place these days.

The film follows two brothers, who become estranged at an early age because of an alcoholic father who split them apart. Yet both brothers at one point pursued fighting.

Circumstances and coincidences brings the two back to the sport, and actually in the same huge tournament.

It’s a great film, but there was one scene in particular that really caught my attention and made me think about how important your WHY is, and how much it can bring you to reach network marketing success, or success in whatever it is that you pursue.

It also reminded me how important it is however to be reminded of your WHY!

In the film, in a rough match in the tournament, one of the main characters is getting beat up pretty bad by a huge Russian fighter, who has so far mowed through all of his opponents. The star Brendan Conlon who’s fighting because his house is about to be foreclosed on is literally in the fight of not only his life, but his family’s life.

At that moment his trainer says to him “If you want to quit that’s fine with me. We’ll pack up and go home. No problem. But if you don’t knock him out in this round, YOU HAVE NO HOME!”

BAM…that’s his WHY! That wakes him up and of course he goes on to win that match.

That scene was about one minute of the whole movie, but it left a great impression for me, and a great reminder of how we all must use our WHY so that we can reach network marketing success.
